「時の殻」上郷中学校記念室 

２０１１年地震で廃校となった学校の再生に際し記念室を依頼された。この土地に包まれているような空間にするため、土地で手に入れた木で天井を覆い、木々の間に本や学校の記念品などを忍ばせた。クッションは土地で採集した籾殻でできている。

Shell of time / Kamigo-Junior High School Memorial library

This school was closed by the earthquake of 2011. But it was reborn in new as an Art center. I made a room to leave a memory of the people here.

This room is to wrapped in the nature of this land,  The celling and walls of this room are covered with boughs and branches.

Some cushions stuffed with rice husk are placed on the floor. All the materials are from this area.

There was complete silence all around. I am sure you will feel as if you are in the forest.
